HANOI – Hanoi is set to make history with the world’s largest Pyrodrone show on Lunar New Year’s Eve, January 28, 2025. The event, Glamour Thang Long 2025, will feature 2,025 drones combined with fireworks, aiming to set a new Guinness World Record.
Held at My Dinh Square, My Dinh National Stadium, the show is a collaboration between Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), the Hanoi People’s Committee, and various sponsors. It will be broadcast live on Hanoi Television and featured as a special segment on Vietnam Television’s (VTV) Lunar New Year program.
With the theme Glorious Springs, the event will celebrate the beauty of spring, family reunions, and national pride through a fusion of traditional and modern performances. Cutting-edge technology from South Korea will ensure a spectacular and safe display of lights and fireworks.
Mai Trong Thai, Chairman of the Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee, expressed hopes that this event will become an annual tradition for Hanoi and gain international recognition.
"We are committed to making Glamour Thang Long a world-class event that is both safe and successful," he stated.
As the main sponsor, Petrovietnam emphasized that this event aligns with its vision of supporting Vietnam’s progress. Additionally, Corex Business Solutions, the event organizer known for breaking two Guinness World Records in drone shows, is confident that this show will set another historic milestone.
With over one million spectators expected to attend in person and millions more watching via television and social media, Glamour Thang Long 2025 is poised to establish Hanoi as a global light tourism hub, on par with Vivid Sydney in Australia and Fête des Lumières in France.
